MIXED DRINKS
Absinth drinking is ritual and art. Modern Absinth hasn’t got high concetration of thujon, but it’s still very strong alcohol. Here are some instruction for burned Absinth>
1. Teapoon with sugar soak in Absinth.
2. Set fire to teaspoon with sugar and Absinth
3. Burning sugar fold in Absinth
4. Damp down the fire, mix the drink and let cool down.
This is the simplest way to burn the absinth. You can drink it without burning, with water, etc. Original taste remains allways. For absinth drinking, you should stay strain, with friends and have ample time to it. Therefore Absinth is a king of alcohol.
Absinth limo:
5cl of Absinth with soda fill into the 3dcl glass. Add ice and lemon. Surprise is fresh herb taste.
Absinth grog:
Absinth mixed with hot water- not boiling, with lemon and sugar.
Traditional set up:
You will need Absinth 70% 0.5L, glass, absinth spoon, sugar, fire.
1dl Absinth in glass, take spoon with sugar afloat and light it up. Absinth and sugar will start burning, sugar start to caramelize and run to glass with absinth. For extinction you’ll use a water. Mix dring with spoon, as long as sugar will melt. You obtain brown-coloured drink with alcohol 35-40% contained and with good taste and herb aroma.
WARNING:
Be careful during this proces, absinth is liquor with high concentration of alcohol. It might cause fire accident.
Hot Drink
5cl Absinth 70%
2dcl hot water
Teaspoon of sugar
Lemon
Bloody tearsb (Krvavé slzy)
2cl Absinth 70%
2cl Vodka
1dcl tomato sauce
Pepper, Tabasco, ice
Mix in cocktail shaker
K2
5cl Baileys
5cl Kahlua
5cl Absinth
Pour in to glass a light up
Absinth flame
Pour absinth through spoon with sugar. Light sugar with absinth up and and mix the drink.
Desire (Túžba)
Absinth with cold champagne.
Absint cool
2pc vannila icecream
0,4cl Absinth
1cl pineapple juice
Mix in mixer and decorate with piece of pineapple.
Inversion (Inverzia)
5cl coconut liqueur
2cl Absinth
1dcl orange juice
Pour in to glass in this order, add ice and mix it up.
Barbados
4dcl red vermouth
6pc ice
2cl Absinth
Mix in cocktail shaker
Express (Rýchlik)
1dcl Red Bull
4cl red vermouth
3pc ice
2cl Absinth
Mix in cocktail shaker
Czardas (Čardáš)
4cl Absinth
1cl coconut sirup
1 peach (rubed off)
6pc ice
Mix in mixer
